After a long
an uneventful flight and an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency near Dallas Fort
Worth International airport, we caught a taxi to the RV storage. The RV looked
a bit sad – all dusty, and took a new battery to get it underway. We had some
help from a local mechanic, so we headed to his shop for an oil change. We
discovered in the unpacking that the fridge wasn’t working, so after the oil
change we found an RV service centre. Turned out to be a circuit board needing
a reset – took about 2 minutes.
We found a
Walmart and stocked up on groceries, and headed to the Vineyard RV Park on
Grapevine Lake for a couple of nights. Van is now dusted and vacuumed, battery
is charging on the scooter and we are unpacked and fed. We are heading out to
explore Grapevine in the morning, it’s a historic town and has a number of
wineries.
